Kaden is doing fabulous in his big boy bed. He has a little bit more trouble settling down it seems, though it could just be that we weren’t that concerned before because he couldn’t escape. He is still usually asleep within five minutes. He gets a story a song and then will say “Night Night Daddy/Mommy”. He has had a few late nights but was asleep by 9:15 last night. Not too bad considering he took a 3 hour nap in the afternoon!
I have come to the conclusion that his enjoyment of the bed is linked to his dislike for being restrained. No bars to hold him in so he is cool with it!
Thanks to our fabulous monitor. (www.summerinfant.com/view/3/44/) (Seriously everyone with a child needs one)
We can spy… I mean watch him from anywhere in the house….. Seriously it is a huge comfort! I can also check him in the middle of the night to make sure he hasn’t fallen off the bed!
It is hilarious to watch him try to sneak off the bed at nap time and then see his reaction when we tell him to get back in bed without entering the room. He looks around like “How did they know?” Then hops up and goes to sleep. Jon thinks it is good for him to think his parents are omnipotent at least for a while!
The crib is in the attic! You know what that means!! Let’s hope not for a while….on that note please pray that I can find a job I LOVE and will allow more financial support!

Yeah for Kaden, and Yeah for Mommy and Daddy! What a big deal! I am so glad that big jump is finally here for you. He is doing a great job. Now just wait for him to figure out how to open the door...we're dreading that day! Congrats!
