It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!
this is the first year that Kaden has really understood Christmas. He was very excited to "make Christmas" this year.
He strategically placed each ornament, at the bottom of the tree!
He was very proud of his handy work. Every so often he would say, Merry Christmas!!
Then he, himself, Kaden, crowned the tree with the star!
He took out this ornament and said, "Is this God?"
After he went to bed we moved the ornaments up as they were dragging the floor. He did notice a few were moved the next morning and promptly wanted it moved back!
We can't wait for Christmas this year!

Happy 3rd Birthday Emory!
![]()
Emory had a really cool party at Build-A-Bear! Kaden had never been there before and wasn't so sure at first.
![]()
He quickly chose the horse, of course.
![]()
In a surprise move, he switched to a Moose!
![]()
Here he is rubbing his heart and giving it a kiss.
![]()
Kaden finally gets close to the very energetic host guy!
![]()
Moosie Moosie is all ready to go home!
![]()
A cookie finally gets us a smile!
![]()
Yummy! All Emory wanted was pink cookies!
The Gingerbread Disaster
![]()
The weather was freezing, so we skipped the Keller Tree Lighting and decided to stay home and make a gingerbread house. We had a kit and it seemed easy enough.
![]()
My Junior Baker was dressed and ready to go.
![]()
Our architect team was ready to go.
![]()
The only problem was that 5 of the 7 pieces were broken. The directions said simply glue them together with icing and everything will be ship shape. Wrong!
![]()
We tried to repair it with little hope.
![]()
Kaden and I moved on to decorating the ornaments that were also included.
![]()
Tah-DAH! The tree is complete!
![]()
It was also kind of tasty, but also a bit hard!
![]()
We decided it couldn't be saved.
![]()
I was very sad. After the two broken roof tiles wouldn't stay on, Becky attempted to make a Ritz roof. Also no good!
![]()
A side view. Meg decided to make stained glass, looks more like the windows are bleeding!
![]()
My side! There is the tree Kaden and I made. Turns out it was a bit heavy and was blamed for the walls collapsing.
![]()
It is quite beautiful really and open to the starry sky.
![]()
Doesn't our look just like the box?
![]()
We decided to turn the broken roof into a driveway. Fittingly we put a fire truck in the driveway!
![]()
Kaden carefully placed peppermints on each corner.

The building crew in a timed shot. We are thinking about giving up our day jobs to enter some contests.
Kaden was over it by now!
Our house is hideous but we had fun and made a nice big mess!
